1. buy or renew a boat licence
2. tell us you’ve sold your boat
3. book passage in advance for a lock, tunnel, other structure or stretch of water (whether you’re a boat owner or you’re hiring a boat)
4. book a mooring
5. buy a Waterway Wanderers fishing permit
6. Book a match at one of our fisheries
7. Buy a fishery season permit
8. update your contact details

If you already have an online account, all you need to do is sign in. If you don’t have an account, you can choose the option to register below.

On the 3rd November we will be making an important behind-the-scenes update to the system that manages sign-in to our online licensing services. The site will be unavailable for around 15-30 minutes between 6am and 8am. 

This change has been made because Microsoft is replacing the service we currently use with a newer platform. Moving to the new system helps us keep your account secure, reliable, and easier to support in the future.

Next time you sign in after 3rd November, use your existing email address and password. In some cases, if your current password does not meet the new security requirements, you may be asked to create a new one.

Creating a new password

If you're asked to create a new password, it must:

1. Be at least 8 characters long
2. Include a mix of letters, numbers and symbols
3. Be different from your current password
4. Not be a common or easily guessed password

Example: KettleMoon2026!

This helps keep your account and personal information secure.
